Dryer Vent Cleaning

Clear lint build-up to lower fire risk and help your dryer work faster.

About this service

Why it matters

Your dryer's lint trap doesn't catch everything. Lint slowly builds up inside the vent hose and duct running to the outside, choking airflow and making your dryer work harder.

A clogged dryer vent is a common cause of house fires, and it wastes energy every load. We clean the full vent run from the dryer to the exterior hood so air flows freely again.

Questions

Common questions

How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?

About once a year for most households, more often for large families or long vent runs.

Isn't cleaning the lint trap enough?

No. The lint trap catches most lint, but some always gets past it and builds up inside the duct.

How long does it take?

Most dryer vent cleanings are done in about an hour, depending on the length and route of the vent.
